1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Use govern your access to PrepVanta websites, accounts, diagnostics, study tools, courses, practice materials, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). By creating an account, purchasing a product, or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree, do not use the Services. If you use PrepVanta on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement in your location. If you are under the age of majority, a parent or legal guardian must authorize your use.
You are responsible for providing accurate account information, maintaining control of your email account and sign-in links, and promptly notifying us of suspected unauthorized access. You may not share, sell, or transfer your account or course access. PrepVanta may rely on the email associated with an account to identify the purchaser and deliver access.
3. PrepVanta products and access
PrepVanta provides independent educational materials designed to support preparation for professional certification exams. Product descriptions identify the materials and access offered at the time of purchase. Unless a product page states otherwise, a purchase is a one-time payment for personal access—not a subscription, classroom training program, exam registration, or certification fee.
Access is subject to reasonable technical availability, these Terms, and any product-specific conditions disclosed before purchase. Features may evolve to improve accuracy, security, usability, or alignment with a current public exam blueprint. We will not intentionally remove the core value of a paid product without a reasonable substitute or remedy.
4. Personal-use license
PrepVanta grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use purchased materials for your own exam preparation. PrepVanta and its licensors retain all ownership rights in the Services, including original questions, explanations, lessons, software, design, branding, and study tools.
You may make reasonable personal study notes. You may not reproduce, publish, distribute, sell, sublicense, publicly display, systematically download, scrape, mirror, or use PrepVanta content to train a model, build a competing product, create an exam dump, or provide access to another person.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- submit, request, upload, or distribute recalled, leaked, stolen, or unauthorized exam questions;
- circumvent account, payment, entitlement, rate-limit, or content-protection controls;
- use automation to extract content or place unreasonable load on the Services;
- probe, disrupt, or attempt unauthorized access to systems, accounts, or data;
- misrepresent PrepVanta content as official certification-owner material;
- use the Services for fraud, infringement, harassment, or any unlawful purpose; or
- remove copyright, trademark, attribution, or disclaimer notices.
We may investigate suspected misuse and suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect customers, certification integrity, intellectual property, or system security.
6. Purchases, prices, and payment
Prices and included features are shown before checkout. Payments are processed by the payment provider displayed at checkout. You authorize that provider to charge the amount shown, including any taxes the provider is required to collect. PrepVanta does not control your card issuer’s currency conversion or bank fees.
Access is granted only after payment is verified and associated with the correct account. A checkout confirmation alone does not override a failed, reversed, fraudulent, or disputed payment. If you believe access was attached to the wrong email, contact support rather than buying again.
7. Refunds
Eligible purchases are covered by the PrepVanta Refund and Returns Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms. That policy explains the 30-day request window, request process, abuse protections, access termination, and statutory rights.
8. Independent exam preparation
PrepVanta is independent and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or authorized by Project Management Institute, Inc. or any other certification owner unless a page expressly states otherwise. Purchasing PrepVanta does not register you for an exam, establish eligibility, provide required education hours, or confer a credential.
You are responsible for confirming current eligibility rules, fees, policies, appointment details, and exam content directly with the relevant certification owner. The additional limitations in our Exam and Educational Disclaimer form part of these Terms.
9. Feedback and user submissions
If you submit feedback, question reports, or support information, you retain ownership of your original content but grant PrepVanta permission to use it to operate, secure, and improve the Services. Do not submit confidential employer information, personal data you do not have authority to share, or unauthorized exam content.
Feedback does not entitle you to compensation or ownership in any improvement. We may remove submissions that violate these Terms or create legal, security, or quality risks.
10. Third-party services and links
The Services may rely on payment, authentication, hosting, email, analytics, or other providers and may link to external sites. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy practices. PrepVanta is not responsible for external content or for outages and acts of third parties beyond its reasonable control.
11. Changes, maintenance, and termination
We may update the Services and correct, replace, or retire inaccurate or obsolete content. We may temporarily restrict access for maintenance, security, legal compliance, or events beyond reasonable control. Where practical, we will work to restore paid access promptly.
You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for a material or repeated breach of these Terms, fraud, payment reversal, security risk, or misuse of certification content. Provisions concerning ownership, prohibited use, disclaimers, liability, and disputes survive termination.
12. Service disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” PrepVanta disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, and error-free operation. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PrepVanta will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; loss of profits, opportunity, employment, data, goodwill, or exam fees; or decisions made in reliance on readiness metrics or educational content.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PrepVanta’s aggregate liability arising from the Services will not exceed the amount you paid PrepVanta for the product giving rise to the claim during the twelve months before the event. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law or to liability that cannot legally be limited.
14. Questions and disputes
Before filing a formal claim, please email support with your account email, the issue, and the resolution requested. This gives both sides a reasonable opportunity to resolve the matter informally. Nothing here prevents either party from seeking urgent relief or using rights that applicable law does not permit to be waived.
Applicable law and the courts or dispute processes with lawful jurisdiction will govern any unresolved dispute. These Terms do not limit mandatory consumer-protection rights in your place of residence.
15. General terms
These Terms, the Privacy Policy, the Refund and Returns Policy, the Disclaimer, and any product-specific terms shown at purchase form the agreement regarding the Services. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; PrepVanta may assign them as part of a lawful reorganization or transfer of the Services.
We may update these Terms for legal, security, product, or operational reasons. The page will show the revised date. Material changes will apply prospectively and, where appropriate, will be communicated through the Services or account contact information.
