FREE PMP PRACTICE TEST

Use a PMP practice test to diagnose decisions—not memorize answers

PrepVanta's free 25-question PMP diagnostic uses original scenarios to expose which decisions and domains need work before you invest more study time.

Use the test as a baseline and learning tool, not as a prediction or guarantee of your official exam result.

What the free practice test covers

The diagnostic samples People, Process, and Business Environment decisions using the current July 2026 blueprint. Questions require you to identify the delivery context, protect decision rights, evaluate evidence, and select the next responsible action.

  • 25 original single-select scenarios
  • About 15 minutes
  • No credit card
  • Domain-level feedback and a recommended focus area

Take the first attempt without notes

A baseline is useful only when it reflects what you can retrieve and apply now. Complete the set in one sitting, avoid searching for answers, and mark any correct answer that depended on a guess.

  • Use a quiet, timed block.
  • Choose the best next action, not every action that could eventually help.
  • Treat correct guesses as learning gaps.
  • Record what made the strongest distractor attractive.

Review reasoning before retesting

After the score, classify each miss by its cause: knowledge gap, delivery-approach confusion, sequencing error, authority error, or rushed reading. A useful review produces a rule you can apply to a different scenario.

  • State what changed in the scenario.
  • Name who owns the decision.
  • Explain why the best answer fits now.
  • Rewrite one condition and decide whether the answer changes.

Do not overread one percentage

One short practice set cannot reproduce the official exam or guarantee an outcome. Combine the baseline with broader domain coverage, multiple recent timed sets, stable pacing, and your ability to explain unfamiliar scenarios.

  • Look for repeatable performance, not one peak score.
  • Retest weak objectives with new wording.
  • Confirm current exam rules directly with PMI.
  • Use PrepVanta readiness results as study guidance only.

Turn the result into the next seven days

Spend the next week repairing the highest-value recurring gap, then take a new mixed set. Keep strong domains active with brief retrieval while concentrating practice where your reasoning breaks down.

  • Days 1–2: repair the governing concept.
  • Days 3–4: apply it in new scenarios.
  • Day 5: mix it with stronger domains.
  • Days 6–7: retest under time and compare error causes.
